Days Without Meat: Go nuts with donuts!

Hello everyone!

It's the last day of March which normally means a Polished Bookworms post. However, I didn't read this month's book Gone Girl. Firstly because March was a very busy month and secondly because I didn't want to read this book. It's really not my type! That's why I chose to skip this month's read.
Nevertheless, I have some new nail art for you. Today's post is the last one in the DWM series and therefore I wanted to make something yummy! :) Have a look!

I'm crazy about donuts. It's not that I eat it often, but when I do I really enjoy it! Haha :)

There are so many donuts designs out there, so it was very hard to create something 'new'.

On this close-up you can see that the background isn't simply one colour. This is the result of a new kind of sponge I bought recently. I was curious about its effect so I had to try it.

Well, that's it I guess. We achieved the end of the DWM series. At least the nail art one! ;) There are still some days until Easter... For me it was a nice challenge to come up with food designs. Maybe I'll do it again next year! What do you think? Will you join me then?

Days Without Meat: Broccoli and my love-hate relationship

I'm back with some food nail art. Today's nail design is a bit more special. Although I don't like broccoli, I decided to make some nail art based on it.
When I was searching for broccoli on Google images I came across this one. It's the opposite of this one, which I also like a lot! ;) I'm not a huge fan of broccoli. It's not that I won't eat it if I have to, but I just prefer to not eat it. That's what my love-hate relationship is about and these two quotes describe it best. However, here's my nail design!

Super Duper!

Hi there!

Are you having a super-day? In any case you will if you wear this nail art:

A month ago I went to a costume birthday party and the theme was heroes. Therefore I chose something simple and easy. I wore a blue top with a self made Superman logo plus this on my nails! Everyone was in love with my nails! ;)

I drew the logo with acrylic paint. It looks hard to do, but once you're doing it, it's not that bad. I had a lot of fun drawing it!

Would you dare to try this design?

Days Without Meat: Negative space eggs

Hello there!

I'm finally back! Last week I was away with school and had no internet at all! :( Therefore I couldn't post anything and that's why there was no DWM this week.
This time I drew some eggs and I combined it with negative space. I was inspired by U Need A Manicure.

I also didn't have much time so this was a quick and fun solution. :)

Well, that's it for today. I will be back soon with some more nail art!

Collaboration with Live.Love.Polish: Tuxedo Nails

Hi all!

I have some exciting news for you! :)
I while back I was contacted by Nailpolis for a collaboration. They wanted me to make a nail art tutorial. So I accepted it, of course! I made these cute tuxedo nails, which are so easy to do! :)

In case you would want to see the full tutorial with explanation, click here. On top of that I made a gif-tutorial for you!

I was so excited about this collaboration and I'm very glad I got this opportunity! Thank you Nailpolis and Live.Love.Polish!

Are you going to 'dress up' your nails with this tuxedo design? ;)

Days Without Meat: pizza time!

Are you making any pizza soon? I would suggest you make it without any meat! One of the possibilities to do so is by making it with tomatoes, mozzarella and basil. I can show it on my nails!

Doesn't it look delicious?

When I showed my nails to my parents, they didn't recognize it. After some hints, they could 'see' it. Then I tried my sister and she immediately knew it was a pizza. Some people just lack imagination, I guess! ;) Did you recognize it?

That was a close-up, so you could distinguish all the 'ingredients', haha!

I can assure you it was really fun making these! It was in a moment of little inspiration that I came up with this rather unusual design. However, I'm very happy with the result.

Are you liking my Days Without Meat-posts so far? I really need some suggestions for my next designs. Please let me know if you have a cool idea.

International Women's Day!

Happy Women's Day, everyone!

For this special occasion I decided to make some nail art. As a lot of women love flowers, I went for a flowers nail design.

The gradient is made with a purple, dark purple and black polish. On top of that I added some Maxfactor Fantasy Fire to add some sparkles. It really looks great on this gradient. Every single colour from this holographic polish is visible. I was inspired by Roaring Nails and FrankieHuntersNails for combining a gradient with this special polish. This one is really looks better on top of another polish and not on its own.

Then I drew some white flowers with a dotting tool. I only used polishes for this design except for the black of the flowers. That's acrylic paint.

Let me know if you like this nail design! Have a nice day!

Days Without Meat: Carrots!

Hello there!

I'm back with another Days Without Meat design. If you missed last weeks post in this series, click here. This time I made some nail art which represents my favourite vegetable namely carrots! :)

I was inspired by The Nail Polish Challenge's blueberry design for the white outline around the carrots. It makes them pop even more.

The base colour is Park Avenue's Yellow Ochre and the rest is acrylic paint.

I really think this nail art looks jummy! :P How about you?
