Over the rainbow

I've always wanted to try this rainbow nail art. I even think it was one of the first tutorials I ever saw on YouTube. Now I didn't use the tutorial of course. ;)
This design looks great on short nails and especially for square nails. Let's have a look!

There's something else I wanted to share with you. You do know that a rainbow is used a lot as a symbol e.g. peace. Well, this week it's the week against bullying in Belgium and at my school we could get a bracelet to show that we are against bullying. This is the bracelet that I received. It fitted with this post so I thought: why not add it?

What do you think of the nail art? Do you also love it as much as I do?

Early spring feeling

I know it's still February and spring officially starts on the 21st of March, anyway I already have this feeling spring has started. The weather is really nice and it's getting lighter every day. As a result I decided to start with my flower designs. Here's the first one of 2014!

These flowers are super-easy. I used a dotting tool to make them. First you make 5 dots in a circle and you finish with one dot in the middle.

What do you think? Is it a good start for spring?

Reviewing my new polishes

On Valentine I mentioned something about some nail art on my right hand. Well, here it is! It isn't something difficult, but still it was challenging.
A week ago I bought some new polishes. I bought a glitter, purple and gold polish. You've already seen the gold one in my heart of gold nail design. So here's a review post of the other two.

So the glitter polish is from Maybelline's color show street artist collection, called white splatter and the purple one is a Rimmel London nail polish, called Oh boy, you're so fine!
I really loved the glitters! There are a lot and you don't have to place them on your nail. Definitely worth buying.
What do you think? Are you heading to the stores? ;)

Winter Olympics on my nails!

I know the Olympic games started a week ago, they haven't ended yet so I'm actually not too late with this nail art. First I want to say that I am very proud. I just can't describe it! I was so happy with the result. Now you can see it for your own.

I searched on Google for a pictogram of each sport and just copied them. I used the black Barry M nail art pen. It's the most wonderful nail art pen I've ever used! It's so easy and you can draw the finest details. If I were you, I would hurry to the stores and buy it!
Can you guess the sports?

First we have the sled.
 Here you see a skier.
 Next we have a skater.
The last one is a snowboarder.
This one is obvious, I think!
I must admit the rings were the most difficult part of this design.

Overall, I'm proud and I hope you'll try it. What do you think?

Sweet Valentine cake

My mother had this great idea for this Valentine. She wanted to make a cake and that's always a good idea! The result was wonderful and it tasted really good. I liked it so much that I decided to share it with you on my blog.

Here's a look from above.

Doesn't it look delicious? It was sweet, but the raspberries balanced the taste.
What do you think? Do you want to see more food on my blog? :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

I have some really special nails ready for you! ;) I was so proud of them that I couldn't remove them. As a result I had to paint my other hand with my non-dominant one but that's for next time!
It isn't so original and yet they are very special. Red heart tips look really good on your nails. I didn't want just empty hearts and therefore I decided to write something. Any guess? Love, indeed.

Have a lovely Valentine's day!

A heart of gold

My next hearts design is really classy. I had just bought the gold nail polish and wanted to try it. For the gold gradient I used an eye shadow brush. It was the first time I used this technique and I liked it.

So, what do you think?

Flipped hearts

Here's my next Valentine's design. I made this a long time ago, but kept it until now. I really liked the idea in my head. It's not something new, of course. I hope you like what I did with it.

So, what do you think? :)

Adorable Accessories: Bow hairpins

It has been a very long time since my last Adorable Accessories-post. Nevertheless, I have a few accessories I want to show you and I'm starting with some bow hairpins.
I have no idea why the photos look so different. When I take a picture of my hand with the bows it becomes so light. That's not the only problem! The colours look so similar. Just to clarify: the ones with dots are supposed to be brown and the others are dark purple.

What do you think, despite all the problems I'm having? Are bows something you love to wear? In my opinion bows in your hair give this cute touch to your look. It looks amazing with everything.

See you for my next post!
