Last Halloween nail art for this year: owls (+tutorial)

Hi!

Before I show you my owl nail art, I want to make a list of all the Halloween designs I showed you this October. This way you can easily mix and match some ideas for a last minute Halloween design.

And now today's nail art!
I should admit that it took me a while before I knew what to draw.
The result isn't that spectacular. As a compensation I decided to make a tutorial for these nails.
Here is a picture.

And now what you all have been waiting for: the tutorial!

1: Put a base coat on your nails and then paint them grey.

2: Make a thin line on the tip of your nail. This will be the twig on which you're owl is sitting.
3: Next you draw the outline of your owl. Don't forget the ears!
4: Now you fill it in with some black polish. For this step you can use the brush of your bottle.

5: Take a dotting tool and make the eyes of the owl. This can be in yellow or white.
6: When it's dry you take a smaller dotting tool and you put a small dot in the middle of the eye.
Don't forget to seal it with a top coat!

Well that's how it's done! I hope you like my Halloween designs as much as I do. It was a lot of fun and I'm sure that I'll be back next October with some new nail art.
Let me know what you think in the comments!

Haunted landscape

Hi!

This Halloween design is really haunted!
I made a combination of different scary things you can see on a Halloween night. All of this was done using only 3 different colours: black, purple and yellow. In the pictures the light isn't always so good. In the first one you can see how the colours really look like. I added the second one so you can see the details of my drawing better.

I draw a naked tree in the moonlight on my thumb. On the other fingers I draw some gravestones
and a hand coming out of the ground. Next there's a haunted house and finally you have this scary laugh of a witch maybe? Muhaha...
Will you be going out tonight in this scary landscape? ;)

See you all tomorrow when I post my last Halloween nail art for this year... :(

Pumpkins for Halloween

Hey everyone!

Before I show you today's Halloween nails I want to share something. As you can see on the right side of this post, there's a link to pinterest and instagram. It's actually not new, but I never really told you. Well, if you have pinterest or instagram, take a look at my profile. And there's also a link to my facebook page. All I can say is likelikelike! ;)
Then there's something else. I would like to thank all of the tumblr people who loved my mummies from yesterday's post. :) I didn't expect it to have that much success. And now I have more than 100 followers! (This maybe doesn't sound a lot, but for me it does. I was really surprised this morning when I opened my tumblr.)

OK, now back to business.
As you can see I made some pumpkin nail art. It was easier than I thought. Here are some pics.

So what do you think? Let me know in the comments!

Spun like a mummy!

Hey,

The next 4 days I'll post the last Halloween designs for this year.
First up is the mummy. For this nail art I used the sugar spun technique. It was my first time I tried it. This technique is easy and the result is also very different. I only did it with one colour, but you can combine different colours. I think I'll try this more than once!

Let me know what you think of my abstract mummies! :)

Rainy days

Hey!

I should have posted this design yesterday. Although it was warm, there were some rainy moments.
But I didn't so that be it! :)
It's very cute. The effect of the drops is really original. I saw that one on tumblr a while ago.

In case you were wondering what I've drawn on my thumb: it's the grass on the ground.

I was wondering whether I should make the clouds a bit grey. Finally I did it and I don't regret doing it! :)
If it's raining and you don't have anything to do, you can try this nail art!

Vampire nails

Hi!

I have some Halloween nail art to show you. This time the theme is vampires and of course blood.
I really wanted to do blood drips so this was the perfect chance.
In my head the teeth looked better! ;) Unfortunately it didn't come out that well. But I'm not complaining.
Let's see some pictures now.

First I painted the drips with white and afterwards in red. Like this the colour is brighter.
Actually it's a very easy design. Definitely perfect for a Halloween party. Even better if you're a vampire... :)
Let me know what you think!

Falling leaves 2

Hello,

I'm back with some autumn nail art. I wasn't planning to post it so late, but that's how it turned out!
There is a slight difference between this nail art and the other leaves. This was actually my first idea.
First I'm going to show you the design and afterwards I'll say something more.

I hope you can see it's a ombre background! :) I did it with orange and red. For the leaves I used a black nail art pen. I usually don't use it much because it's not very good quality, but this time it worked. I was wondering whether I should fill in all leaves, but I think it's good as it is now.
So, what do you think?

Spiders on the web

Hey,

Here's the Halloween nail art for this week. You can do this if you're in a hurry. The two things you need, are some white polish and a black striper.

Do you like this? Let me know!

French for fall

Hello!

I decided to post some nail art today. It's not special and that's why I did it so spontaneously!
This is my version of the classic French manicure adapted to this season.

It looks really great on your nails and is so subtle. It gives this warm feeling when you look at it.
Is this matte French manicure something you'll try?

Ghosts for Halloween!

Hi!

This week's Halloween design contains ghosts! I combined two different designs I've seen recently.
My finishing touch was the glow in the dark nail polish I used. This time you'll see the result at the end of this post. ;)

It looks really cool in the dark!
Do you agree? Let me know!

Falling leaves

Hey there,

I'm back with some autumn nail art. This post and my next post will look similar. Yet I like the other one more. For now you'll have to wait and look at this one.
Autumn colours really inspire me. All those reds, browns and oranges bring a lot of imagination with them. Here I want to show you how colourful This season is. If you have time and you live close to the woods, make some time to go there and to feel the nature.
OK, enough talking, let's see the design itself.

Did you get inspired?
Let me know what you think!

Halloween is coming closer...

Hi!

This post was actually planned for yesterday but I didn't have time (so typical...). In October I'll post every week one post in the Halloween theme. The last week I'll try to post every day something related to Halloween.
First up is this design. I was inspired by a design on Pinterest, yet it isn't the same.

Unfortunately it wasn't completely dry when I put the top coat so it smudged... Do me a favour and don't look at it!
Well, what do you think? Can you already feel Halloween coming closer?
